The Information I Consumed This Year
📚Books
Understanding Comics: seemingly about what makes comics works but in actuality a profound exploration on how art in general works.
Self-Therapy: a practical guide for doing Internal Family Systems Psychotherapy on yourself or with a friend. Out of all the therapies I have explored, IFS resonates most with me because it reflects the multifaceted nature of the self and allows for both intellectual and emotional engagement.
On Writing Well By Willian Zinsser: an absolute must read if you want to get into writing. Apart from being entertaining to read, the book reflects the best tools, and principles for writing in every writing world.
📷Videos
After Socrates: a profound lecture series which explores how we can embody Socrates into our very psyche to live more fulfilled, virtuous, lives.
The Rememberer: a beautiful poetic video narrative that explores a young man as he explores a sci-fi world where people can live for hundreds of years.
And Then We’ll Be Okay: a fantastic story that encapsulates the human need to strive for better which can be our greatest downfall.
🎙️Podcasts
How I Write By David Perell: How I Write is about showing you the behind the scenes of the writing process instead of just the finished process.
🎵Music
EPIC The Musical: a musical rendition of Odysseus’s journey through the Odyssey. Fricking incredible.
